Renewable Heat Incentive is Go

Finally the wait is over on 12th July the Government announced the tariffs for domestic RHI.

We were surprised and delighted to read that that the tariff for biomass is set at a generous 12.2p which is 40% higher than we ever expected. Put into context an average four bedroom home requires 25,000kw/h per year for heating and hot water. Using the tariff calculation we get this.

25,000 x 12.2p = £3,050pa* paid on a quarterly basisThe tariff payments last for 7 years giving a total return of £21,350**
